Job Description
Job Responsibilities Promote a strong deployment of safe work environment while promoting maintaining high levels of 5S+ across all product lines in the plant. "Support Operations in order to ensure the continued application of lean manufacturing techniques just like continuous, one piece flows, waste elimination, manufacturing lead time reductions and overall work processes efficiencies in support of meeting customer expectations." In charge of the Operational Excellence Management system of the facility. Drive the deployment of the Eaton Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, EBS Pull and PROLaunch systems. Develop new or modify existing processes or procedures to ensure continuous improvement on safety, productivity and customer satisfaction. Desing and deploys Leader Standard Work concepts and Tier meetings execution and associated reports and documentation. Plans and introduces best practices in all the areas of the operation, following the ADKAR methodology. Manages and coordiantes the annual, monthly or weekly CI events calendar such as Kaizens, BPIs, VSMs, CI Councils and others. Develop and administer training and instructional programs to provide the technical competencies to support the advancement of products. Plan, develop and execute annual cost savings strategy to hit the financial target defined in accordance with the divisional goals. Lead and deploy the EBS Pull and Operational Excellence programs, concepts and methodologies throughout the plant. Lead and deploy the OpA programs throughout the plant. EHS Responsibilities Separate hazardous waste from the common waste. Place hazardous waste (gloves, rags, etc.) in assigned containers. Keep clean the work área contaminant free. Do not waste water. Report any activity that may jeopardize my safety and the environment. Identify and properly dispose all the chemicals that may contaminate the environment. Ensure the correct container for the disposal of hazardous waste (identified containers and containers to prevent spills). Report the entry of new Chemicals required for Maintenance purposes due to mantain a record updated and assure the compliance of the correct handling of them. Contain oil spills and repair as necessary. Qualifications Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical, from an accredited institution required. Years and area of experience required: Minimum 3 years of experience managing people and/or project teams; Program/Project managament in manufacturing environments; Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives. Technical knowledge: Proven and strong knowledge in IATF16949, Analytical / Statistical Tools & Methods, External Requirements, Product / Process Quality Planning, Lean Manufacturing Concepts, Six Sigma. Analitycal and Statistical software applications. Use data analysis software (i.e. Excel, Access & Minitab) in root cause analysis efforts, including 8D analysis.
