Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician - 1st shift to join our team, pay starting at $23.55/hr depending on experience. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility. The Continuous Improvement Technician is responsible for ensuring plant level Continuous Improvement programs, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented and sustained. In this role, you will help schedule and lead Kaizen events to drive improvements in the front-office and shop processes that will impact employee safety, productivity, product delivery performance, cost and factory margins. Position Overview: Provide a wide variety of administrative and staff support services. This includes assisting in the preparation of the following activities – current/future value stream map creation, 5S+ checklist/audits, standard work/time studies, line balancing and work instructions Support the plant continuous improvement frameworks Assist and support ELSS and OpA action items and facilitate ELSS training to plant personnel Lead/Co-lead kaizen events comprised of multi-functional team members Lead the implementation of visual controls throughout the plant including floor marking, tier board, labeling, shadow boards, continuous improvement boards and communication boards Assist with defining and requesting tooling and equipment as needed Work with maintenance and issue work orders as needed Assist manufacturing engineers and production supervisors as needed When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing environment is required Preferred Qualifications: Experience with leading RIE’s/Kaizen/Manufacturing Engineering Capital Projects and other CI Activities in manufacturing environment.
