Job Description
Directs all accounting activities for the Plant in accordance with corporate and division policies and procedures. Oversees general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and the financial aspect of payroll. Performs specialized analyses to support complex business decisions by plant management. Plan, coordinate and direct the financial functions of the plant. This will include profit planning, budgetary controls, cost accounting, general accounting, invoice processing (accounts payable) and collection activities (accounts receivable). Ensures accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results in accordance with US GAAP and Eaton policy. Supports the plant manager as business partner providing financial analysis as required by the plant managers, interpretation of variances from budgets, and advice to management. Manage the accounting team to streamline the transaction processing, transfer best practice and optimize the organization. Maintain an environment of strong controls, SOX compliance and no surprises. Review and approval of local capital appropriation requests (CAR’s) To support the French country controller as required to ensure that Group, statutory and fiscal accounts are prepared timely and accurately in compliance with French GAAP, corporate guidance materials, legal and fiscal regulations. Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent (Higher Diploma in Accounting/Business Administration) Knowledge of computerized accounting systems plus general desktop applications (ie word processing and spreadsheets) Detailed knowledge of French legal / fiscal requirements as well as US GAAP.
