Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments on patients.

2. Undertake psychological treatment of patients.

3. Provide advice to other health care professionals.

4. Provide education on applied psychology.

5. Conduct research in areas relevant to clinical work.

Entry Requirements

1. A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a local university; or equivalent; and

2. (a) Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent;

OR

(b) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, or equivalent.

3. Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.

1. Work experience in the specialty of General Medical Setting and/or Psychiatry

2. Appointment will be on contract terms for up to a period of 1 - 3 year(s) (or up to 9 months if being selected for a time-limited post). Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract.
3. Working hours is up to 19.5 hours per week.
4. The exact working hour pattern is negotiable.
5. May be required to perform on-call duties, work shifts and irregular hours.
6. Applicants who are expected to graduate from Master degree in Clinical Psychology from a local university (or equivalent) in 2020 may also apply. If selected, their appointment will be subject to their having satisfied all the appointment requirements.
7. Depending on service needs, selected candidate would be posted to Kowloon Hospital or TWGHs Wong Tai Sin Hospital.
8. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.
9. The renewal / extension of appointment will be subject to service needs, availability of funding and job performance.
