(To be pro-rata based on the total package and work pattern for a full-time Executive Officer I depending on the work hours)
Job
1.
Handle patient public complaints, feedback and assistance..
2.
Handle medico-legal cases
3.
Advise hospital management on key areas for improvement of patient services.
4.
Provide support to quality & safety services to improve patient care and safety.
5.
Assist to share complaint cases with departments / colleagues for learning purpose.
6.
Conduct trend analysis and prepare digest reports on complaint cases.
7.
Supervise clerical and supporting staff of Patient Relations Unit.
8.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
1.
A recognized university degree; or equivalent;
2.
At least 4 years of post-qualification working experience in management; and
3.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
Preferred Attributes/Exposure
1.
With experience in handling complaints.
2.
With nursing background is preferred.
3.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
4.
Good managerial competence in problem solving, decision making and quality management.
5.
Self-motivated, out-going, able to work independently and handle stressful situations, including crises.
6.
Proficiency in computer application software and data management.
Remarks
1.
Appointment will be on contract part-time terms for a period up to 2 years. The selected candidate will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract-end gratuity subject to the completion of contract with satisfactory performance.
2.
The required number of working hours is no more than 18 hours per week.
3.
The renewal / extension of appointment will be subject to service needs, availability of funding and job performance.
4.
May be required to work shifts and irregular hours as well as to perform on-call duties.
5.
May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.
