Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is a statutory body established by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2008, responsible for developing the West Kowloon Cultural District.

 

Job title: Producer, Digital Programme

Department: Curatorial, M+

Duration: 7 months

Location: Cyberport Office, Hong Kong

 

The digital team of M+ seeks a motivated, highly organised digital producer who will work with colleagues from across the museum, including curatorial, marketing, operational and technical staff, to support the development and production of a range of digital projects, including online platforms and in-gallery technologies.

 

You will be responsible for:

  • working independently and collaboratively to support the development and delivery of a range of digital projects currently in progress, such as the museum’s collections website and in-gallery digital guide, in alignment with the museum's technical and creative strategies;
  • liaising with internal and external staff and third-party service providers such as software developers, web designers, content producers, to meet project goals;
  • overseeing schedules and tracking due dates to meet project deadlines;
  • monitoring and coordinating project deliverables and documentation including sitemaps, wireframes, functional and technical specifications, project plans and vendor agreements.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in creative media, multimedia production, web design, video production or equivalent;
  • have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in digital project management, product management or related field;
  • possess experience in producing web-based projects and experiences;
  • have excellent project management skills, including experience working with and liaising with third-party vendors and freelancers;
  • possess strong knowledge of Excel and the ability to work with cloud-based project-management tools;
  • be familiar with open-source content management systems, user experience and front-end web development best practices;
  • have an ability to work well in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team and with an ability to work and collaborate with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • be highly organised and detail-oriented, with a spirit of problem-solving and a strong interest in arts and culture; and
  • possess excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and ideally Chinese.

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Junior Producer, Digital Programme.)
