In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for new projects, in Robotics & Discrete Automation in Shanghai, China. Reporting to the Engineering Manager II.

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for designing and developing control systems for new projects according to customer requirements and ABB User Interface (UI) standards, including control circuit design, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, Human Machine Interface (HMI) screen design, etc
• Assisting mechanical engineers in technical consulting with customers, understanding customer needs and proposing customers with solutions
• Participating in the electrical standardization such as drawing standards, electrical component standards, document classification, etc
• Writing technical development documents

Your background

• 3 years or above experience in on non-standard equipment development
• Experience in Beckhoff or B&R PLC projects will be preferred
• Experience in 3C industry is preferred
• Proficient in at least one of the main brands as Siemens, Beckhoff or B&R, etc.
• Knowledge in one of the popular industrial configuration software (Intouch, WinCC, IFix, etc.)
• A bachelor’s degree or above, major in automation or control
• Familiar with various industrial fieldbuses (Profinet, Modbus, EtherCat, etc)
