Based at Hebburn near Newcastle upon Tyne the successful candidate will be in a Controls Engineer role with the responsibility for helping upgrade existing infrastructure using Siemens latest portfolio of control systems to ensure future sustainability for our customers. Siemens latest portfolio of control system devices ensure future sustainability for our customers, modernising digital initiatives including process bus, digital twin, and cyber security for the future. You will successfully be delivering Industry & Distribution control systems (SCADA, Energy Automation) with our end-customers from various domains & disciplines. Location: Hebburn, with the opportunity to work flexibly (2/3 days remote). Feel free to click on this link to see what it’s like to work here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vmmNjaEr04 Areas of Responsibility: As our Control Engineer, you will be assisting and delivering on SCADA systems, control systems and automation systems applied on our UK industry and distribution customers; • Understand and ensure compliance against customer technical specifications on allocated projects • Assist with the production/checking of functional design specifications and design intent documents • Development and Configuration of engineering control systems • Preparation of the test documentation • Carry out preFAT and FAT activities • Provide SAT support when required • Adhere to all business compliance requirements in line with Company policies, including Business Conduct Guidelines & Confidential Information What skills and experience you will bring to the role: • A minimum qualification of HNC/HND/ Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering • Good standard of IT literacy – especially Word, Visio and Excel • You will be confident in speaking to customers at all levels of seniority • If you have experience in configuration and testing of networks, this would be a plus but is not a necessity • We encourage mobile working policy where appropriate, it is advantageous but not vital for the role to be predominantly based in Hebburn. Some travel to customer sites will be required from time to time. We’ve got quite a lot to offer. How about you?
