Job Overview:
Plant cost controlling for Mercedes Benz Vans factory in Charleston. Support CFO in achieving the optimum situation for the entity taking into account the economic circumstances, country specific impacts and objectives of the legal entity and Daimler AG. Management of the controlling team to mentor, motivate, and develop for continued knowledge growth within the department. Coordinate the divisional Finance and Controlling activities from an aggregated perspective in order to safeguard overall profit optimization.
 
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Plant Cost and Investment Controlling for the Mercedes-Benz Vans factory in Charleston
- Leading operative and strategic planning as well as rolling forecasting for the legal entity
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting and deviation analysis
- Analyzes, evaluates and develops forecasting models
- Drives Best Finance activities incl. implementation of advanced IT systems
- Identifies to management potential areas of opportunities and risks
- Create reports including variance analysis, trend analysis, and economic analysis
- Ensures Product Calculation in alignment with Global Product Calculation organization
- Evaluates business cases and present compelling business solutions to management
- Will perform other projects (e.g. efficiency programs) as assigned
- Advises management on key financial drivers
- Ensures close alignment with local Accounting Team and global Plant Controlling
- Design, perform and review internal controls ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and accounting principles
- Ensure appropriate implementation and compliance of processes according to rules and regulations in field of responsibility
- Leads team of 6-8 direct reports.
