Mission/Function of the role: To ensure proper Closing and Controlling activities as per SFRG. To timeously report, prepare and analyse reports within DI. Calculation of the Management incentives and Sales incentives as well as various ad hoc reporting to the Divisional Management would be required. The role further includes monitoring of all common function costs within DI, as well as the tracking of productivity and reporting thereof into the OPW tool. To work closely with the DI Management team and reports directly to the DI Head of Finance South Africa What are the responsibilities of the role? * Ensures coherence with superior Controlling standards, policies and procedures, adopts respective processes by ensuring: Financial Reporting, Integrity, and effective Risk Management & Internal Control Systems Effective Business Administration, Controlling and Financial Planning Efficient Capital, Financing and Tax Management * Ensures planning, monitoring and reviews of unit`s budget, and provides and comments Actual vs. Plan reports * Monitors financial performance, provides KPI analyzes, and prepares and comments respective performance reporting and forecasts. * Ensures proper revenue and cost controlling, and design and maintenance of underlying cost account systems. * Analyzes, prepares, approves and reviews units´ investments and expenditures, and provides respective reporting by acting: As Investors Advocate by protecting the Assets and driving sustainable Value Creation As trusted partner of the Country DI Head and Country DI Head of Finance and the local and global management team * Oversees the day-to-day controlling and financial analysis operations. * Leads the organization assigned. * Manages and leads a team of specialized Controlling Professionals and support staff, in different organizational settings. Contacts: External Contacts · Customers, Government Authorities, Suppliers, Financial Institutions, Auditors Internal Contacts · DI Management, BU Management, HQ Management, Country Management, Corporate / Support Functions, Branch and Assigned Country Management Qualifications and Experience Relevant BCom or equivalent qualification SAP Experience – Advance Proficient in writing / speaking in the English language At least 8 years commercial experience in a variety of functions with different BU’s and /or Corporate Functions e.g., controlling, project management, sales commercial Exposure to variety of business (project/product/services) and cycles (start-up, growth, mature and decline) At least 3 years’ experience in disciplinary management of a team of employees Familiarity or having worked within the DI environment (Advantageous) Intercultural exposure specifically dealing with diverse groups of people, cultures, languages, cross boarder relations, all levels of management Understanding and adherence of Siemens Conduct Guidelines, business processes and policies, compliance policies and guidelines Commercial Project Management Demonstrate the understanding of project management, project reporting and project controlling activities (PM@Siemens and SFRG) – Essential Demonstrate the understanding of Project financing solutions and models – Advantageous Competencies: Strategic Planning Leadership Abilities Driving for Results Decision Making Building Organisational Talent Strong Attention to Detail Our culture: Our culture embraces different perspectives, open debate, and the will to challenge convention.
