As a Controlling and Planning Specialist you will be responsible for driving and leading group and country initiatives to achieve Chief Financial Officer priorities, in Global Business Services Business Area in Beijing, China.

Reporting to the Controlling & Planning Manager, you will work closely with the division and country organizations to provide strategic analysis and management reporting.

Your responsibilities

• Collaborating with Global Business Services (GBS)/ Center of Excellence (COE) to setup an operation governance model to drive country statutory report quality and Balance Sheet (B/S) accounts monitoring, inspecting control points and country level controls with the support from country ARIC manager and FO manager
• Working with GBS collection team and improving the country credit process efficiency (i.e. credit assessment efficiency)
• Driving and leading statutory quality related improvement activities e.g. balance sheet review and valuation in general bad debt, warranty provisions, accrued /pre-paid expenses, SIE/BIE, bonus and sales commissions
• Collecting and providing business insight on economy and market development, industry trend and implication to ABB
• Consolidating and analysing financial data to track and assess performance against targets, peers and benchmarks, providing automated analytical tools and reports based on business requirements
• Facilitating budgeting and forecasting process by communicating guidelines, timetables and templates
• Giving an initial comments and explanation to indicated performance variance. Identifying and communicating actionable steps to address variance
• Sharing business analysis, reporting and business performance management best practice within ABB

Your background

• 5 to 8 years of work experience in finance in large scale multi-national company
• Sound knowledge and experience on statutory reporting and internal control, financial analysis and budgeting/planning
• Knowledge MS power points and good presentation skills
• Highly adaptable capability and the excellent communication skills especially the ability to interact effectively with senior management
• Experience of using SAP is preferable, any advanced analytical tools exposure (e.g. Power BI) will be a plus
• Bachelor or above degree major in finance or accounting
• Fluency in English both oral and written, must be result-oriented and have strong team spirit
