Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products and continuous improvement. Support production and Maintenance activities. Upgrade of obsolete equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS: Development of new assembly machines and improvements through controls integration Strong knowledge in PLC programs, mainly Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron and Fanuc, works on developing backups and improvement of the parameters and program itself Knowledge in vision system mainly Keyence and Omron Definition of critical electronic parts. Advanced tools for troubleshooting, administration, and control of repair. Develops the guidelines for maintenance technicians regarding controls troubleshooting Leads Continuous improvement projects regarding cost out or insourcing process improvements thru PLC Expert local electronic controls and remote assistance plan. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area. Promotes the company’s culture by actively supporting ethics and values as well as quality policies. Must be active learner. Proactive & results driven. Ability to work & lead in a high matrix environment. Additive manufacturing (3D printing) Train maintenance people in controls issues. Qualifications SPECIALIZE KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor´s Degree Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics 3 years’ experience in controls or maintenance, ideally in the Automotive Industry Demonstrated knowledge and training in automation, mistake proofing techniques Experience conducting multidisciplinary teams Knowledge in control systems, (encoders, servomotors, vision systems) Programming PLC, CNC, Drive AC, DC and FANUC, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens Repair electronics boards Restoration, data back up and PLC controls internal hard disk Skills at interpreting mechanical drawings and CAD/ Solid work System usage Mechanical design for tools / tooling Knowledge of machinery functions (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical operations) English language at a conversational level required Complex automatic assembly process knowledge Problem solving tools PLC programming, both development/integration and troubleshooting Main PLCs required Allen Bradley (Must), FANUC & SIEMENS (is a Plus) Budget management. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Ability to train operators to use proper methods, write work instructions, define setup techniques, maintain equipment PM´s and track OEE Ensure Eaton targets are met with respect to standard philosophies and work practices. Strong communication and group presentation skills and comfort with facilitating teams / groups and working with all levels in the organization. Proficient in MS Office toolset.
