As a Controls System Engineer you will be responsible for: Providing full support/troubleshooting for the automated manufacturing cardiac assay production line. Including but not limited to PLC (Preferred: Beckhoff). Robots (Preferred: FANUC) Conveyor systems. Labeler (SATO & Zebra). SCADA. Providing technical input for business and productivity initiatives. Provide training to skilled trades, production in the setup, use, and maintenance of the manufacturing assembly systems in support of design change. Ability to function as a team member and individual on projects. Research and recommend new technologies. This position has no direct or indirect reports but requires cooperation and communication with management, engineers, supervisors, skilled trades and production operators. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Analyzes, designs, modifies and/ or troubleshoots electrical components, subsystems, and control algorithms. Directs integration of technical activities and products. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Prepares interim and completion project reports. Analyzes, designs, modifies and/ or troubleshoots electrical components, subsystems, and control algorithms. Develops and/or produces cost effective control and instrumentation concepts to meet project requirements. This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers PLC (Preferred: Beckhoff), & Robots (Preferred: FANUC) experience. Good Manufacturing Practices within an FDA regulated environment that is ISO certified. Development, deployment, and/or management of IoT solutions. Continuous improvements training like Six Sigma or Lean. Experience with Control theory. Required skills to have for the success of this role Strong troubleshooting, design and programming skills for PLCs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. BS degree or equivalent experience (i.e. Electrical, Software disciplines). 1-3 years of relevant experience. Familiar with industrial or commercial control systems. TCP/IP protocols (Profinet, Profibus). Must have a strong background in one or more of the following: Developing control hardware and firmware specs and/or Developing test plans for controls and product integration. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding.
