The hotel features two eclectic dining destinations, resort-style Willow Stream Spa, rooftop and pool sundeck, beautifully designed guestrooms and suites.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, you will provide daily support and be a contributing member of an extraordinary Communications Team. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain hotel and outlet (Botanist and, The Lobby Lounge, and FairmontPacificRim.com) websites and liaise with corporate office to keep online content and assets up to date
- Update Food and Beverage, Catering and Banquet menus upon request
- Coordinate distribution of e-newsletters, direct mail and email campaigns
- Assist with social media captioning and limited content creation
- Support visiting media and influencer programs: vetting incoming requests, reservations and personalized itinerary details, arrange VIP amenities, update key staff and co-host media dinners and events when required
- Maintain hotel press kit with relevant press releases and photos, ensure online press rooms are kept up to date, and maintain media database and distribute weekly media calendars
- Prepare monthly marketing and public relations reporting
- Contribute to creative brainstorms and communications strategic planning
- Provide regular departmental status updates and circulate communications meeting notes
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Marketing/Communications
- Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in a marketing/communications role
- The communications trifecta: excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized and detail-oriented, and above all, a team player.
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of delivering on a diverse range of projects, often involving tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and HTML; experience in Adobe Creative Suite or similar design application is preferable
- Proven organizational planning and project management skills
- Digital marketing and social media experience an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
