Job Description
Job Summary This position is responsible to develop the Continuous Improvement Master Plan making the Continuous Improvement Framework the primary program to identify, plan, and execute Operational Excellence initiatives. In addition, this role is responsible to lead the implementation of Eaton Lean Six Sigma tools in order to drive cost out goals, achieve performance excellence and improve customer satisfaction.. Job Responsibilities Develop and execute the Plant Operating Plan to achieve stretch performance goals while building the organizational capability of the business. Coordinates ELSS strategy and provides assistance to ELSS tool and process owners to develop and execute plans for continuous improvement in support of the Plant’s ELSS and CIF strategies. Sustain the results achieved through follow-up reviews, building of local organizational capability and deployment of Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF). Implement and effective measurement of tool deployment associated with the ELSS and OpA self-assessment requirements and continuous improvement, track and communicate these metrics Plant wide and to the Electrical Sector - Americas. Develop and execute Leadership system and EBS Pull process to identify Needle mover and Just Do It projects for the site. Manage the Continuous Improvement database "CI Tracker". Solve problems in a structured way including the application of PDCA and DMAIC to build organizational capability, shape the culture and get results. Management of Gemba Walks, Ideas Program and 5'S process. Execute the Industry 4.0 Strategy through all the site. Support annual assessments including Operations Assessment (OPA). Identify Opportunities for Advancement and develop action plans to achieve goals. Coach, facilitate and support the tool and process owners during continuous Improvement Events such as RIE and BPI events, Six Sigma Projects, Bootcamps in on time delivery metrics while reducing cost, inventory and lead time. Contributes to the identification of cost-out projects, keeping a healthy project deck in terms of achieving Cost-Out Plant’s goals, through the Integrated Deck Building tool and giving follow-up in CODB and GPS Platforms . Follow up CI Leading / Lagging Indicators. Follow up CI corporate and regional strategies, including tracking & monthly reports updates. Participate in corporate, regional and local CI Councils. Couch and support on the Lesson Learned and Transferable practices process. Qualifications Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required. Years and area of experience required: Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean. Technical knowledge: Operation Excellence indicators (e.g. Profit Plan, Safety, CONC, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, etc.). Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0 implementation) Position requires strong analytical skills and an understanding of problem-solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, or other). Understands the role of quality and variation reduction in driving operational improvement (Green Belt in 6Sigma, preferred). Strong DFM Knowledge. Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes. Strong ERP/Systems Knowledge (SAP, BW, CAD/CAM/CIM/PDM). Must have advanced level verbal and written English skills required. Proficiency in computer skills Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
