Unique Opportunity! Corporate / Commercial Lawyer – Anti-Slavery NGO

 

Our client is a social enterprise business and affiliated NGO, providing access to justice for migrant workers, who have been subjected to bonded labour, slavery, human trafficking, or other form of abuse. They are active across South-East Asia and Hong Kong, with a focus on providing remediation advice and solutions to companies and workers who may be exposed to such practices.

 

They are looking for a general corporate / commercial lawyer, capable of working on cross-border transactions and commercial issues. It is likely you will have at least 5 years’ PQE, and you will need to be a self-starter, who is able to work in a very dynamic, flexible start-up environment.

 

This role will suit a lawyer with a genuine passion for providing access to justice for the most vulnerable members of society. It is an exceptionally exciting, unique opportunity to help build an organisation that will offer justice and a new lease of life to victims of modern-day slavery and other abuses.

 

Salary is likely to be around HKD40k a month, so applicants should be comfortable with this figure before applying. Ashford Benjamin are supporting our client on a pro bono basis for this hire.
