Eaton’s Corporate Division is seeking an HR Business Partner. Position Overview: Reporting to the HR Director, Technology & Global Supply, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) has responsibility for providing strategic and tactical HR leadership and support to dedicated functional leaders and their US based teams. This role will partner with the Corporate Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal and EBS teams based in the US. Key to this role is a highly connected and effective business partner approach in a highly matrixed organziation. The HRBP partners with the HR Director to drive the functional talent attraction, development, retention strategy, and organizational effectiveness, in partnership with global and regional HR teams. The HRBP will partner with the HR Services and HR CoE teams to embed robust HR policies and practices across our Corporate teams. By leveraging centralized resources (e.g. HR Services, COEs), the HRBP provides full spectrum HR support to functional leaders and teams via direct support, and collaborates with regional and global HR partners to support global teams. The HRBP drives the Corporate talent management & development strategy, organizational effectiveness, talent assessment / selection, and any employee relations management in Dublin in partnership with global and regional HR partners. As a member of the Corporate HR leadership team, the HRBP helps to establish an overall Corporate employee engagement plan, along with goals and strategic plans for each group they support, particularly related to human capital needs. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours Essential Functions: Simplification Proactively streamline and optimize site HR policies and processes, fully utilizing the HR support services (eg HR Services and HR CoEs) and Eaton’s digitalization efforts. Partner with team of Corporate HRBPs and Specialists to create capacity and leverage capability in driving key engagement and development initiatives. Business partner _ Act as business partner, solution provider, advisor and counselor for the functional leaders and team. Understand and contribute to the business strategies and identify opportunities to improve organizational capability. Act as a role model and sponsor for Eaton Values and Philosophy. Support Employee Relations activities by working with management to resolve conflict or controversy to facilitate achievement of established business objectives. Change agent _ Champion organization change to facilitate alignment of human capital plans to the function’s strategic plan. Drive culture change to align the organization with the strategy. Act as the champion for employee development, growth and engagement at Eaton. Compliance & Governance _ Ensure Eaton’s internal processes, country laws and applicable labor relations requirements are communicated, understood and complied with within the functions and countries. HR Functional Excellence _ Build organizational capability to meet the current and future needs of the business; utilize data including Talent Reviews to assess and address functional talent development needs, including succession planning, talent acquisition, organization design, diversity, retention and tracking of talent development actions. Work in conjunction with the dedicated functional leaders and teams to advance functional excellence (culture, employee engagement, employee development); develop and support functional learning resources; develop training plan and deliver trainings as required; advise on functional competencies, developmental tools, methodologies, standardized job descriptions, functional colleges and other learning practices. Proactively drive simplification of HR processes in the US, optimizing and maximizing the support offered by HR Services. Ensure that all HR activities and programs are implemented in accordance with Eaton’s HR strategy and the Function’s strategy in collaboration with centralized resources (e.g., HR Services, COEs). These include: talent acquisition; talent management & organizational effectiveness; employee survey; compensation & benefits; mobility; rewards & recognition; performance management; inclusion and diversity; health, safety and employee wellness; human resources administration; human resource information systems; payroll; employee communications; employment/industrial/labor relations; right-sizing activities; mergers, acquisitions & divestitures activities; HR governance. Team _ Collaborate with the team of Corporate HRBPs and Specialists to optimize / leverage standard work and support across the functions for items such as wellness, I&D, communications, Leadership Development, HR Services etc. Drive continuous improvement within the HR Corporate Team and deliver on assigned projects. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution >5 years’ experience in multi-national HR Operational and Management environment Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without VISA sponsorship now and in the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in HR or equivalent HR certification Experience in partnering with senior leadership to create and drive strategic HR and key functional organization initiatives on a regional scale Experience in coaching and advising senior executives on business-critical issues Exposure to Organization Development, including Organizational Change Management, Compensation, Talent Assessment, and Employment Law coupled with practical savvy for coaching management on these topics and applying the knowledge to training and deployment Experience in driving organizational and cultural changes in a complex environment Track record of effectively balancing operational and strategic priorities to ensure seamless delivery Experience in introducing new HR initiatives/practices and in driving continuous improvement in a multinational environment.
