Job Description

The China Corporate Strategy Office Sr. Director will play a critical role in shaping and driving the long-term growth of Intel within the China ecosystem. This senior level Director will work with the VP of the China Strategy Office to define market opportunities, develop near and long-term business strategies, identify, evaluate, and recommend potential inorganic and organic growth opportunities, as well as lead and drive the execution of our overall strategic initiatives.The China Corporate Strategy Office Sr. Director will require internal and external focus to source new and transformational growth opportunities for Intel within the China market. They will need to operate as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to business unit GMs who proactively understands and influences existing business strategies and growth initiatives. They will develop (along with BU GMs and staff) business cases in support of transformational growth opportunities and effectively partner with the Corporate Strategy Office teams in the development of long-range planning exercises, and corporate strategic discussions, that will ultimately result in the development of highly impactful strategic initiatives.In this role, you will:Work with business unit leaders and their staff to establish a process for considering corporate development opportunities in a systematic way that leads to identification of strategic growth opportunities that accelerate Intel's missionLead broad, multi-functional matrixed peer teams that are assembled to execute specific strategic projects. Serves as a role model and/or mentor to help grow up and coming talent.Conduct strategic analyses of existing and adjacent markets to help identify and evaluate potential product, innovation, investment and/or acquisitions opportunities that are necessary in the creation of the corporate development deal pipelineCollaborate with the cross functional leaders to establish a process for considering corporate development opportunities in a systematic way that leads to identification of growth opportunitiesConduct rigorous analysis including valuation and business case modeling to provide detailed guidance and insight into potential acquisitions and other strategic opportunitiesPrepare and present opportunities for review by executive managementExperience Required15+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, and/or equivalent experience (e.g., scaling a business, driving change across a company)Demonstrated project management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills through all levels of the organization Knowledge of tech landscape and ecosystemStrong network, experience and knowledge within both technical and financial ecosystemDemonstrated results and accountability for broad leadership, building of followership and role modeling of Intel's cultural attributes of:Customer obsessed - seek to understand what matters most to our customers, listening more and talking less.One Intel - "we" before "me". Qualifications

- MBA from a top business school and/or previous experience working for a top management consultancy
- Very strong demonstrated analytical/communication/influencing skills, needs to be able to influence at the VP/Senior Executive/Fellow level across the entire organization including and up to the CEO
- Strong understanding of the ecosystems and competitive dynamics that Intel operates in across international markets
- Needs to demonstrate superb strategic acumen and a growth mindset
- Exemplary skill in peer influencing, indirect leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills through all levels of the organization, including the development of novel visuals and infographics
- Demonstrated results and accountability for broad leadership, building of followership and role modeling of Intel's cultural attributes of:

- Intimate understanding of Intel's business, business model and competitive position in the market across the majority of Intel's business and product lines
- Demonstrated ability to excel in an innovative, fast-paced environment, with rapid exploration and ability to execute
- Demonstrated hypothesis-driven, problem-solving orientation with ability to leverage both quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive decision making
- Desire to operate at the intersection of technology and business, spearheading organizational, operational, and technological change
- Exceptionally strong personal initiative, business instincts, and comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous high-priority projects - often including project management of cross-functional teams

Inside this Business Group

Corporate Strategy Office is chartered to support the executive office in driving corporate initiatives, including near and long-term strategy, major cross-group decision making and ensuring cross-company alignment.  To deliver to that mission, the team owns shaping, driving and synthesizing insights to directionally orient trends as well as long range strategic planning/visioning , cross company alignment and greenfield innovation.  Communications are essential to drive alignment so there is a focus on communications, community and acumen development.  The team is ccommitted to ensuring that Intel efforts are aligned to, and actively driving success toward the most impactful business strategies.
