Job Description

Senior Strategists in Intel's Corporate Strategy Office (CSO) are responsible for driving and orchestrating projects focused on leading Intel to make the best strategic choices in support of our corporate transformation goals. Typical projects include:
- Analysis of ecosystem and competitive trends to understand key technology inflections and trends that create growth opportunities or disruptive threats for Intel
- Development of detailed growth strategies in sufficient detail to undergo stress testing and injection into the corporate planning process.
- Critical, insightful analyses of competitors, customers, and ecosystem participants in a manner that drive novel points of view and actionable strategic options

The CSO strategist often acts as the player-coach, able to coordinate the activities of a diverse set of project resources, synthesize data on the fly, make course corrections, and prepare fact-based provocative choices for discussion.

In this role, you will:

- Work across business groups to formulate and implement organic/inorganic strategies that will accelerate Intel's revenue growth and profitability
- Partner with the executive office to clearly articulate Intel's corporate strategies to internal and external audiences including Intel's board of directors
- Indirectly influence and peer-manage a diverse set of technical and business leaders as project teams navigate ambiguous and often contentious unknowns with large potential impact on the corporate direction.
- Produce primary, often novel research work products, and dynamically take on the roles of customer, competitor, and minority reporter as needed during strategy projects.
- Synthesize secondary data looking for trends and insights, identify and close gaps in the collective knowledge base.

To be successful in this role you will need:
- Very strong demonstrated analytical/communication/influencing skills, needs to be able to influence at the VP/Senior Executive/Fellow level across the entire organization including and up to the CEO
- Strong understanding of the ecosystems and competitive dynamics that Intel operates in across international markets
- Needs to demonstrate superb strategic acumen and a growth mindset
- Exemplary skill in peer influencing, indirect leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills through all levels of the organization, including the development of novel visuals and infographics

Preferred Qualifications:
- Intimate understanding of Intel's business, business model and competitive position in the market across the majority of our business and product lines
- Demonstrated ability to excel in an innovative, fast-paced environment, with rapid exploration and ability to execute
- Demonstrated hypothesis-driven, problem-solving orientation with ability to leverage both quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive decision making
- Desire to operate at the intersection of technology and business, spearheading organizational, operational, and technological change
- Exceptionally strong personal initiative, business instincts, and comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous high-priority projects (often including project management of cross-functional teams)


Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or Engineering from a leading institution is required. MBA from a top graduate program highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, product management, corporate development, finance, or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of total professional business experience
- 5+ years of people management or large-scale project management experience

Inside this Business Group

The Corporate Strategy Office is chartered to support the executive office in driving corporate initiatives, including near and long-term strategy, major cross-group decision making and ensuring cross-company alignment.  To deliver to that mission, the team owns shaping, driving and synthesizing insights to directionally orient trends as well as long range strategic planning/visioning , cross company alignment and greenfield innovation.  Communications are essential to drive alignment so there is a focus on communications, community and acumen development.  The team is ccommitted to ensuring that Intel efforts are aligned to, and actively driving success toward the most impactful business strategies.
