Cost Control Supervisor

Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:               

 

  • Supervises, coordinate and participates in all activities related to accounting and controlling cost of food, beverages and general supplies used in the hotel.
  • Supervises daily inventory of perishables.
  • Reviews purchase orders for food, beverage, materials and supplies with regards to reasonableness in terms, specifications, prices, availability, etc..
  • Sees to the implementation of and conducts spot checks on control procedures affecting receiving, storing, issuing, costing, [portion control and forecasting as established by the hotel.
  • Checks all end of the month closing procedures.
  • Coordinates with Food & Beverage and other departments involved in matters affecting cost reduction and control, and systems and procedures for control of items.
  • Finalizes reviews and analyzes cost reports for Assistant Financial Controller.
  • Reports discrepancies and regulations concerning supplies to Assistant Financial Controller; recommends action to take.
  • Coordinates with F & B Manager on costing of banquets, special events, etc.
  • Performs duties related as may be assigned.
