Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to study, analyze the spend data finding out gaps for cost out, create strategies for cost-out project execution for electronics category. manufacturing requirements for Printed Circuit Boards and assembly to meet customer specific technical requirements. Creating cost out (VA) project and execution strategies in Electronic Manufacturing and assembly 1. Analyze spend data finding out gap for cost out. 2. Prepares PCB and PCBA specifications by studying the fabrications drawings, assembly drawings. 3. Confers with manufacturing, Product teams, Printed circuit board fab vendors, suppliers to resolve Design For Manufacturing , Design For Testing , Design For Assembly issues. 4. Demonstrates the application of basic Engineering tools/ principles and evidence of creative thinking (Printed circuit board stack up design, Bill Of Materials, Component Placement according to design flow for ease of routing .) 5. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements in resolving the supplier queries and immediate solutions and contribute on process improvements with cost out benefit 6. Builds strong relationships with Stakeholder to define acceptable quality levels based on IPC standards of PCB and PCBA. 7. Experience in Collaboration with mechanical, layout, and electronic team to generate various cost out idea, Simulate or Engineering analysis on generated cost out ideas prepare and execute cost out plan for product 8. Sound knowledge on product testing. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electrical Engineering. (with Electronic cost out effort ) 1. Total relevant work experience: 2+ years. 2. Experience on PCB, PCBA and component supplier qualifications for technical aspects. 3. Preparation of technical compliance agreements with supplier for PCB and PCBA’s 4. Hands on experience on CAM tools like CAM350, Gerbview, Valor etc. 5. Should study, understand the interpret the PCB and PCBA requirements based on the available Gerbers, fabrication, assembly notes. 6. Must possess knowledge of the PCB material, Soldermask materials, PCB solder finish methods (ENIG, HASL, OSP etc), conformal coating and methodologies, Panelization, coupons,Layer stackup, prepreg, core materials, Gerber files, fabrication drawings, drills, routes, tooling holes, fiducials, Depanelization methodologies v-Socre, mouse Bites, etc. 7. Sound knowledge of the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. Reflow, wave and hand soldering methodologies 8.Knowledge of IPC7351, IPC6011/12, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610 9.Sound knowledge on electronic component fabrication technology and there performance curve. 10. Sound knowledge on spend data analysis and strategizing cost out project. Required: 1. Strong knowledge in Finding out gaps for electronic cost out (VAVE) - PCB, PCBA, Component, Creating cost out proposals. 2. Product Testing. • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
