Job Description

SCAD Hong Kong seeks a Counselor in Residence to handle a caseload of students with counseling needs and support students with documented disabilities warranting reasonable accommodations pursuant to ADA guidelines.

In this role, you will manage issues and concerns regarding housing in the Gold Coast residences and assist with student activities and involvement. Serving in an on-call capacity year-round, you will also provide live-in oversight and management of the SCAD Hong Kong residences at Gold Coast in Tuen Mun.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment to meet deadlines and is able to work independently as well as part of a team. Two to five years of experience in counseling and/or disability services, a background in coordinating prevention programming (depression, anxiety, relationship issues and suicide prevention) with a university population and residence life experience, including community development, residential programming, mediation and crisis response, is preferred.

Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail is essential.

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field; fully licensed preferred
