As the Country President Poland, you will be responsible for planning and leading the Poland commercial operations for the marketing company, consistent with corporate guidelines. The Country President plans, directs and controls the development and profitable operation of the market and accountabilities will include sales, marketing and all enabling e.g. HR, Finance, regulatory, medical affairs.

Accountabilities

  • Establishes objectives, strategies, and plans for own market or area; oversees, monitors and evaluates business activities so that these strategies and objectives are established in alignment with the corporate vision to achieve profitable operations for the company
  • Responsible for the pharmaceutical business line in own market or regional area.  Involved in translating the vision into strategic plans and responsible for translating strategic plans into operation plans.  Guides their execution.
  • Directly accountable for the results of Polish market
  • Prepares, in conjunction with market or regional leadership team, sales, cost and profit budget and forecasts, submits to, and discusses with management
  • Formulates long range plans conforming to Regional/overall group growth objectives and implements agreed plans.  Constantly reviews such plans in the light of changing commercial and financial circumstances
  • Directs and coordinates the operations of Polish market e.g. marketing and sales, support functions and if applicable, production, ensuring manpower and other resources are utilised in the most efficient manner and ensuring that the statutory requirements in the country or region are met, both financial regulations and employee relations
  • Establishes, reviews and recommends changes for executive lines of control and areas of responsibility so that the structure within own market or regional area maximises organisational performance. Accountable for the sales and marketing activities across own market, managing the external reputation of the company and raising its profile in line with corporate strategy
  • Represents the organisation at public occasions (for example, conventions) and in interactions with external parties in order to present a positive image of the organisation
  • Performance manages senior managers and identifies development opportunities of direct reports, together with appropriate succession planning
  • Member of CEE Leadership Team

  • Drive market access strategy: Translate insights of external ecosystem into actionable plans to optimise performance and reputation. Ability to build and manage AZ’s reputation with external stakeholder ( governments, KEE etc.)
  • Network and influence:  Strategically network and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Talent Leader and leading others to perform:  Demonstrates passion and ability to attract and grow talent. Inspires a culture of collaboration, innovation and the development of talent across the business by role modelling and championing people strategies and plans while creating the culture and conditions to lead others to perform. Builds an inclusive and strong-identity leadership team that applies its diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Delivered sustained commercial performance in leading a small, medium country or large sales organization/BU
  • Depth of knowledge and expertise in one or more TA. Has led a TA or brand, including launch experience, in large market.
  • Developed and executed TA or brand strategies globally, demonstrating strong organizational acumen, patient-centricity and scientific knowledge.
  • Successfully built and managed AZ’s reputation, collaborating with key external stakeholders, government bodies and regulatory agencies across one country
  • Managed significant risk and complexity and has systematically built a risk management mind-set within a large organization Built high performing organization, with capable and engaged teams and optimal culture.
  • Led cross functional teams executing against multi-disciplinary strategies (sales, marketing, medical, market access etc.)
  • Evidence of increased scale & complexity of accountabilities throughout career path and gained broader experience over time. Global marketing, strategy development experience can be valued.
  • Lived and worked outside of own country, have a diversity of experience. Demonstrated continuous personal growth and learning agility throughout leadership journey.
