To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E As a Country Sales Manager , you will manage and direct the activities for the Eaton Electrical sector's Sales Operation in the Country, providing business and operational leadership to the sales team and associated support functions. To act as the senior Eaton sales representative in the Country providing inspirational leadership to employees internally and as an ambassador for Eaton externally. The incumbent shall be responsible for achiving P&L targets ensuring Eaton meets the agreed budget targets for sales growth, margins and cost. The geographical responsibility is South Aftica and countries in the region of Southern and East Africa. Your main responsibilities: • Analysis of market data, trends, and customer needs to align with executive management concerning market opportunities and threats along with that long-term organizational strategy and to implement operational plans to execute the sales strategy. • Maintaining and building relations with necessary market parties and the relevant internal sales organizations and business units • Assessment of the effects of changes within the organizational strategy and acting upon them. • Management of the strategic country operating planning process. • Collaborating with the Segment and Channel Sales Management Team and Business Units to align on the strategy for the country • Manages sales plans by developing and assigning individual or team targets, supporting and motivating sales representatives in achieving their plans. • Analysis, reporting evaluation, and development of KPIs aligned to the Profit Plan and Strategic Plan for short, mid and long-term adjustments. • Maintaining Sales Reports as required and using Eaton Business System leadership processes for the sales organization. • Keeping good customer contacts and building closer relationships with our key accounts to develop the market position further • Negotiating and influencing at the executive and management level resulting in contracts and agreements. • Approving commercial agreements in line with organizational procedures. • Supporting sales managers but also partly leading (key) customer negotiations. • Initiates develops, and implements sales-oriented customer events, activities, campaigns, company and product presentations, and trade fairs. • Focus on developing and winning new customers across our businesses. • Initiates collaborations in sales activities within Eaton, resulting in synergy sales and new business. • Directs the Country Sales Operation activities within the country to drive Eaton's strategic and commercial goals as set by joint planning. • Provides operational leadership to the Country Sales Organization. • Liaise with the other senior leaders in the country to ensure the smooth collaboration between the sales organization, plant, and service organization to deliver the target KPIs • Acts as a role model in line with Eaton's ethical standards of conduct and Eaton's leadership values and attributes. • Acts as Eaton's nominated legal representative and Managing Director for the legal entity • Works in cooperation with multiple Business Units and Eaton departments, putting Eaton's overall interest above immediate local benefit. • Identifies and develops possibilities for future business growth, including possible acquisitions and partnerships, bringing them to the attention of the relevant central team for further investigation and possible next steps. • Building Organizational Capability by developing competencies as well as identifying talent gaps Qualifications Qualifications • Minimum of Master’s University Degree, preferably business or engineering, MBA will be an additional plus. • 10 - 15 years of experience, minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Sales and Leadership role with proven track record of achieving business success as a Sales leader. • Solid experience in the South African electrical market. • Strong organizational capability, enabling cross-functional collaboration, and experience in driving change management. • Proven business success in managing sales teams and achieving profitable growth. • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and international environments. #LI-IS1 Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
