How will you make an impact?

You will support the CDC Biorepository and associated operations. The Courier/Laboratory Technician will handle specimens to prepare them for downstream microbiological assays and will support the operation by packaging and delivering samples between three CDC campuses in the Greater Atlanta area..

This is a Monday-Friday, 1st Shift role with on-call requirements.

What will you do?

• Aliquot biospecimens.
• Receive shipments, inventory management.
• Perform quality control analysis.
• Pull, package, and ship specimens according to USG regulations.
• Drive a van to deliver samples between campuses.

How will you get here?

• Bachelors degree in Biology or related field. 2+ years experience working in a laboratory environment, handling and manipulating biological samples, working with basic laboratory equipment. Successful completion of training in air transport of dangerous goods and handling of infectious materials.
• Two years of experience in material handling. Prefer 1 year experience in biological, chemical, and/or pharmaceutical repository operations.
• Working knowledge of a materials database.
• CDL
