职位描述

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting premium/ luxury material research unique and specific to the rapidly changing market here in China.

• Provide specific insights on the unique market opportunities and influences here in China’s economy.

• Coordination and alignment with GMNA C&T’s initiatives.
• Previous experience in the Chinese market as a Color & Trim Designer from another OEM or supplier.

- Design, develop, and execute original, innovative, fresh designs - appropriate to program requirements and brand vision

• Works with suppliers, engineers, other designers, service and fabrication personnel in the development of new ideas in both two and three-dimensional form.
• Makes presentations of new thoughts and designs, both orally and visually.
• Ability to negotiate criteria/content
• Understands program timelines and is proactive regarding task completion.
• Stay abreast of current design trends and competitive landscape
• Participate and lead the design work for all C&T Design Appearance Requirements.
• Lead the developing and maintain overall brand and materials strategies
• Effectively works within a team environment
• Create and delegate assignments as necessary
• In the absence of the upper management, provides leadership and direction to lower classified designers.
• Leads and mentors team members
• Assist team members in quality of presentation, Discern quality of images and appropriateness

• Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe products at minimum
• Ability to multi-task
• Demonstrates effective team building

Basic Preferred:

Education and/or Training:

• Bachelor Degree with a major in Industrial Design, or equivalent experience.
