Duties & responsibilities

• Develop highly creative concept designs and development
• Development of strategically aligned workplace concepts
• Strong client presentation skills with pitch team and adding creativity, value and edge
• Management of the documentation for tenders and construction process from concept to completion
• Team builder and mentoring of junior designers to assist them in their full potential
• Be integral in determining design standards for project development
• Ability to work well in a multi-cultural, multi lingual team environment
• Works with other regional offices to assist in improving their Interior Design capabilities, staff and technical expertise as requested

Qualifications/Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field
• 15 + years of experience with a focus on workplace or corporate interior projects, either consultancy or preferably design and build
• Excellent knowledge of the Design process
• Outstanding graphic presentation skills
• Previous experience in managing and nurturing a team of interior designers
• Software skills to include, AutoCAD, Sketch Up as well as knowledge of Photoshop, illustrator and Microsoft office
• Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development
• Understand and communicate design ideas quickly and efficiently
• A proven success track record of selling concept and design and winning projects in a highly competitive market

As our Creative Design Director, you will be a creative and influential leader, have Hong Kong/APAC experience, have a solid understanding of how to drive and deliver projects in the Hong Kong market, drive and encourage creativity in yourself and those around you, positively manage people/processes and projects, have gravitas and be approachable, trustworthy, motivational, innovative, credible, intuitive, work on own initiative and collaboratively and as part of a team, adopt a hand’s on approach, instill a “can do attitude”, be both responsive and proactive and have a real passion for creativity!
