How you’ll play your part
In this role you will support the team with the credit control of Mercedes-Benz Cars service contracts portfolio, providing the highest level of customer satisfaction to ensure customer loyalty to Mercedes-Benz Cars. You will ensure accurate processing of daily BACs reports and monitoring customer accounts to ensure accurate financial collections, management of customer accounts, analysing financial accounts and adherence to collections processes.
You’ll also:
- Action daily BACS error reports to ensure customer details are accurate and collections run efficiently. Minimise number of rejected direct debits through review and action of daily reports. Record all actions on the relevant department customer contact system, process customer accounts and file documents, ensuring adherence to data protection requirements.
- Effective review of accounts on collection block to resolve customer concerns; determining the cause of the problem; advising the best solution; following up to ensure resolution and escalating when required, based on severity
- Reviewing customer ServiceCare portfolio to identify overdue payments, using collections process as appropriate to collect arrears. Ensuring appropriate record keeping for accurate reporting together with any additional collection activity required
- Pass & maintain relevant accreditation/compliance/ knowledge to the desired standard. Ensure company standard of communication with customers (internal and external) reached on all calls, emails, live chats, text chats and correspondence adhering to strict targets
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks that may be deemed necessary, assigned by either direct manager or other Stakeholders reasonable to the job holder’s role, skill abilities and experience
- Being proactive in the creation and development of new processes and department improvements and new system implementations which enhances the customer experience
- Be an active member across all customer operations area, in particular ‘In Life’


About you
You have experience in a contact centre environment. You are able and willing to take ownership of problems and resolve them to a satisfactory conclusion within predetermined time scales.
You combine your ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively, with a great eye for detail. You will be able to display your patience and the ability to manage stress whist highlighting your problem solving skills.
Finally, you’ll be self-motivated with the ability to work within pressurised environment whilst maintaining focus on personal, departmental and company objectives.
