Cryogenic Systems Technicians primarily monitor and maintain the cryogenic systems including bulk tanks, LN2 sample storage units, and low/ultra low freezers. The position also includes tasks such as maintenance of the temperature alarm system, support of associated systems such as oxygen monitoring systems, and freezer emergency response as required.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitors cryogenic supply usage and apprises manager on the system's status
• Assists with delivery of cryogenic liquids to laboratories; assess needs and usage
• Monitors and performs repairs and preventative or other maintenance for cryogenic equipment including LN2 sample storage units, supply equipment, and bulk tanks
• Responds to monitor alarms for equipment malfunctions; diagnose and resolve problems
• Provides expertise for cryogenic equipment
• Responds to freezer alarms 24/7 while on an on-call rotation; transfer samples as required
• Provides support services including tracking and ordering supplies and maintaining records

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree preferred and 2+ years of experience with cryogenic equipment maintenance or manufacturing
