Position Summary:

Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our successful Civil Engineering Success Services team as a Transportation Modeling Consultant.  A Consultant plays an important role in delivering consulting configuration services, winning sales through presales activities and is responsible for analyzing our software users’ business and technical requirements and developing solutions that meet those needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consulting, configuration, and training services on Bentley’s Mobility Simulation Transportation Modeling applications to existing and new software users. This includes CUBE, EMME, DYNAMEQ, Legion, and Agent.
  • Technically support sales team with benefit oriented, feature specific demonstrations that promote Bentley solutions for transportation modeling.
  • Assist in preparation of technical proposals.
  • Provide product demonstrations, training and assist in closing sales opportunities.
  • Perform software training activities, project assessments, reviews, and audits.  
  • Collaborate with product development groups to continually improve the quality of the product based on user input.
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and software users.
  • Develop and conduct technical presentations to existing and prospective users
  • Create learning content in the form of written documentation, videos and webinars

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, mathematics, geography, or science is required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years experience in transportation modeling industry is required
  • Ability to travel foreign and domestic as needed
  • Experience with Cube, ArcGIS, EMME, Legion, Agent, DYNAMEQ and land use models preferred
  • Programming skills such as Python, Visual Basic, C++, R, Fortran a plus
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate, configure, and consult on the Bentley Software Mobility Simulation Transportation Modeling product line.
  • Ability to work on significant professional services projects with little supervision and lead others when needed
  • Experience with and knowledge of public agency transportation planning workflows
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
