Dipont has pioneered the delivery of international programmes for Chinese students since 2003. With over 1500 employees across the group, supporting more than 10,000 students within our network of schools and out-of-school programmes, we aim to develop bilingual learners who are critical thinkers and confident communicators able to succeed in further study and in their future careers.

In August 2018, we successfully opened two K-12 campuses in partnership with the prestigious King’s College School, Wimbledon and two leading Chinese schools. In the new academic year, each school will serve over 1500 students and more than 3,000 at capacity. Other new school projects (to open over the next 4 years) are currently in development.

About the role

Working from our head office in central Shanghai, the successful applicant will join a dynamic team of curriculum, training and quality assurance specialists supporting our growing network of independent schools.

To fulfill the requirements of the Chinese curriculum at primary level (mandatory for Chinese students), our team have developed and are continuing to develop a tailored curriculum that blends the best of international practice with required content. In the schools, this is delivered by both expatriate teachers in English and by Chinese teachers. Training in best classroom practice and effective delivery of the programme is delivered to teachers in workshop sessions or small groups. A tailored development programme for trainee Chinese teachers provides an opportunity to support talented young teachers through their first year of employment. Formal review of the quality of teaching and learning in each school is carried out as a team.

The international market for Chinese students has seen phenomenal development over the past 10 years and that progress continues.
