Customer Manager – Ohio River Valley
Cleveland, OH or Buffalo, NY
This role is responsible for over $4.5M in Indirect confectionery and snack GSV through 8 Convenience customers (Kwik Fill, Country Fair, Bellstores, Crosby’s, Quicklees, Mirabito, Dandy and Delta Sonic). The 8 retailers are all in the Top 100 for Convenience. This is an individual contributor role.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree
- A minimum of 2+ years selling experience preferably in the CPG industry
- Excellent networking skills for building relationships with customers at all levels and internally with cross-functional associates.
- Strong presentation and written skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated strong financial management skills
- Strong negotiation, conflict management skills and the ability to problem solve
- Ability to travel 40% of the time
- Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision from a remote/home office
Nice to Have:
- A previous rotation on Retail preferred
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Sell the Mars Wrigley portfolio to all retailers with the goal of maximizing sales growth and profit. Responsible for delivering Net Sales Volume (NSV) objectives.
- Execute sales programs to deliver on distribution, display and merchandising across all segments.
- Execute new product launches with timely and effective execution to maximize customer and category impact.
- Conduct planning meetings to identify priorities, align initiatives, and agree to a course of action which will result in improved long-term partnerships.
- Manage trade funds in compliance with internal and external requirements and continually improve the effectiveness of spending following SRM guidelines.
- Influence customers to implement solutions through insight-based presentations that deliver mutual results for both the customer and Mars Wrigley
- Review shipment data and Nielsen channel data to identify trends and opportunities
- Foster strong customer relationships to ensure a long-term partnership that generates profitable sales growth for both parties.
