In this role, you have the opportunity to

Design and implement training programs that will work to support and develop the competencies and capabilities of our Customer Project Management (CPM) teams in the IGT and DI businesses. This includes cardiovascular labs, MRI, CT, X Ray, and AMI modalities. Scope includes new hire training as part of our structured on-boarding process as well as continued training for the existing CPM team. The emphasis will be primarily on technical training, but can be expanded to include training of our Project Management Salesforce.com tools (PSA) as well as other soft skills training.

You are responsible for

  • Prepare and conduct technical training programs individually or with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) for new hire on-boarding as well as continued training to other team members for new and existing products

  • Work closely with related functions that support all training aspects, both technical and non-technical, including, but not limited to:

  • Understanding expectations and functional partners

  • Forecasting and key project management date management guidelines

  • Construction training

  • Other

  • Work with stakeholders to determine training gaps and formulate training strategies and programs. Your key stakeholders will include:

  • Sr. Manager CPM Training & Development, NAM

  • Project Management Advocates (PMA’s)

  • Zone Installation Directors (ZID’s)

  • Sr. Managers, CPM’s

  • Preparation of training materials (Videos, Work Instructions, Performance Measures, PowerPoint slides, etc).

  • Develop tools and methodologies (documents, video based training, etc) to train CPM’s to deliver high quality and repeatable results around common siting issues, such as

  • Verification of system ISO-center as per Philips final drawing

  • Verification of floor levelness

  • Verification that unistrut is correct type and installed per Philips final drawing if required

  • Verification of all waveguides, feedthroughs, floor troughs and magnet pads are installed per Philips final drawing.

  • Review room dimensions against Philips final drawings.

  • Verification of all J-Box and conduits are in place per Philips final drawings.

  • Verification of conduit lengths

  • Verification of floor plate levelness and proper isolation

  • Training of key project milestones to ensure an effective process, including but not limited to:

  • Leading and documenting a customer project kickoff meeting

  • Defining and creating an effective trip reporting process and framework

  • Completing an accurate and effective Site Readiness Checklist

  • Completing an effective configuration review before production (OVL)

  • Other checklists and processes including Cable Questionnaires (CQ’s), Delivery Questionnaires (DQ’s), EP Boom Checklists, First Time Right (FTR) MRI package submissions. Etc.

  • In field training and mentoring of CPM’s after they complete the full on-boarding program

  • Mentor project managers for Professional Certifications, such as CAPM and PMP (in conjunction with CPM Training and Development manager.

  • Develop measurement tools and testing protocols to ensure proper retention of knowledge in all training programs

  • Train other trainers in the field for additional capacity and expanded on-going local support

  • Ensure all training and measurement programs are aligned fully with Philips global standards

You are a part of

This is a home based position reporting to the Sr. Director of CPM for IGT &DI, NAM.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • High knowledge and understanding of site drawings and translations to contractors and architects

  • Knowledge of Project Management training – PMI methodology

  • BA or BS or, advanced degree or further qualifications preferred

  • 5+ years related experience, preferably within a healthcare environment

  • Experience in working within cross functional teams/ Stakeholders

  • Good communication skills (Verbal & Written)

  • CAPA management linked to training.

  • Lead without authority

  • Strong MS Office skills

  • Coordination skills

  • Analytical, systematic working style

  • Demonstrated experience with continuous process improvement.

  • Prior experience developing curriculum and training plans for large organizations preferred

  • Significant travel in the US and Canada (estimated at 40-50%).
