The Nonvolatile Memory Solutions Group Quality & Reliability (NSG Q&R) an opening for a Customer Quality and Reliability Engineer. In this role, you will be the customer interface to manage your Customers' Quality and Reliability requirements and processes so that Intel is able to deliver a world class experience.

  • You will be responsible to reach out to customers proactively to assess their needs and deliver those requirements to internal product development teams and manufacturing/operations.
  • The goal is to establish a high degree of customer satisfaction as it relates to quality and reliability goals during the qualification phase and improved responsiveness in a production environment.
  • You will the resolution owner from a customer facing point of view for issues. The job will require some local travel and occasional international travel.

  • This role will require direct interaction with the Q&R and product teams of NSG's Tier 1 customers. The successful candidate will be able to perform the following skills:

    (1) Interacting with customers' quality and reliability organizations to understand customer requirements and resolve quality and reliability issues related to the product qualification and ramp of the customers platform(s).
    (2) Complete first level failure analysis on Intel SSD products either at either Intel or the customer site.
    (3) Support customer request to visit NSG factories for audit and lead closure of the process with the customer.
    (4) Align with Applications Engineering, Operations, business development, and others to ensure quality and reliability goals are achieved and results of NSG products are communicated at each stage of the product life cycle with the customer.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
(1) 5 years of experience in a technical role (product engineering, quality and reliability, technical marketing or similar)
(2) Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering Field.
(3) Previous experience in IC or system manufacturing environment (wafer fab, IC assembly/test, System assembly/test)
(4) Good verbal communication, technical writing skills, and presentation skills
(5) Ability understand device schematics and perform basic HW debug.

Desired Qualifications:
(1) Experience leading customer audits.
(2) 5+ years of experience in a technical role facing the customer (customer quality engineer or applications engineer).
(3) Previous experience with Solid State Drives with demonstrated understanding of NAND memory technologies, SSD firmware, and SSD hardware.
