Job Description

Key Accountability


  • Booking release : Key in Compass (create new bookings, fax booking confirmations to customers) and send the confirmations to INTTRA Bookings (all INTTRA bookings received during office hours are confirmed within 2 hours of being submitted).
  • Maintenance of Compass bookings including the input of accurate freight charges, cargo weight, equipment type and numbers, contract numbers, cancellation of bookings within 24 hours after the vessel has departed Shanghai or other designated port .
  • Answer telephone, voice mail, fax, email to solicit customer and cargo support, prepare the General Customer Announcements and any other customer or business related messages promptly and carefully.
  • Preparation of a Booking Status and Expectation report submitted at the appointed time and to the proper distribution (Before each vessel arrival, prepare a weight list and hazardous booking prospect , etc.) and prepare customer specific reports, if necessary.
  • Maintain close coordination with other departments and other offices in order to address any customer related issue raised to you. Such as assistance to the Sales and Marketing departments for following up on booking and sales leads.
  • Submission to the RAP Hazmat Responsible person for approval for carriage of Dangerous Goods.
  • Handle customer requests for COD/COV by cooperating with the local & overseas Documentation and Operations departments.
  • Verify bill of lading accuracy including freight, surcharges, special terms.

Competencies (Knowledge, skills and attributes)


  • Good communication skills and telephone manner
  • Fluency in both oral and written English and Mandarin
  • Excellent Knowledge on word/excel application
  • Diversify knowledge of service routing, overseas customs declaration handling procedures


Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • A degree holder
  • Minimum 2 years’ shipping / forwarding experience
  • CET 6 or above
