Position: Customer Services Officer/Clerk
Report to: Operations Section Chief
Job Summary:
To be responsible for supervising and directing activities of deposits, remittance, foreign exchange and related activities i.e. cheque clearing, cash management, etc., processing including attending to customer’s inquiries, and ensuring all activities of the units are carried out in compliance with polices, rules and regulations of CBRC/PBOC/SAFE, relevant local government authorities, Head Office and the Branch.
Responsibilities:
- To supervise and direct activities of cheque / credit note / settlement clearing, cash management,
counterfeit mutilated notes, financial instruments (namely; cheques, draft, transfer application), foreign exchange, account opening, account closing, deposit, withdrawal (cash/transfer) e.g.
- Ensure completeness of documentation including authorization
- Reviewing the list of inactive accounts (dormant account) at the end of the fiscal year
- To control over safe-keeping of documents are implemented and carry out according to policy
- To timely seek resolution to customer’s request
- To review registration / system update (daily) for external report, update information required against all accounting vouchers processed during the day before end of day closing
- To establishing a framework to assess the compliance / operational risks facing the business unit

- To establish proper communication among Customer Services staff to ensure both internal and
external policy is understood
- To supervise, coach and train staff in Customer Services
- To perform other tasks as assigned by Operations Section Chief
Job Specifications:
Technical Knowledge
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or other related field Skills
- Inter-personal and problem solving skills
- Hard working and being able to deliver quality results under pressure
- Proficiency in English with good written and verbal communication skills
- Service minded
- Familiar with local banking regulations and practices Experiences
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
