What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: Are you ready to become a trusted core member of a team that manages crucial, detailed components of Siemens sustainable energy management program, which lights our schools, hospitals, universities and powers our economy? We are seeking dedicated Data Specialist candidates to develop a stable, long-term career with our expanding Digital Services Center’s Document Management team. This is a clearly defined role which follows established processes and requires a high degree of accuracy, efficiency and initiative. As one of our Specialists, you will be relied upon for your sharp observation skills and especially for your diplomatic ability to negotiate professionally with utilities vendors across the United States and Canada, bringing savings and assurance to some of our biggest customers. Responsibilities: Communicate with internal parties and utility providers to obtain missing invoice data, using a variety of contact methods as needed – by phone, fax, email and other web-based systems Negotiate the waiver of fees and/or obtain due date extensions Determine invoices to be obtained by evaluating key data points Update systems of operation with tasks performed and relevant data Retrieve, open, scan and file mailed invoices and non-invoice documents Perform at or below Target Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) per Standard Operating Procedures Participate in the re-evaluation of current processes and offer suggestions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of each process Select appropriate processes from clearly documented rules, past practices or new instructions Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from senior department members Refer complex, unusual problems to senior department members Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalent is required Entry level skillset with up to 2 years of successful experience in a similar phone and/or data-based role, generally comparable with the tasks and responsibilities as presented above Professional Phone Presence Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to negotiate effectively in a professional manner Ability to research and navigate websites and internal systems Excellent time management skills Microsoft Office Suite Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
