As a new business within Intel, this is an opportunity to help influence and shape how the Accelerator and Solutions Customer Engineering team provides enabling, advocacy and support for our OEM and ODM customers as they develop, validate and launch server systems that include Intel GPU products.
The Customer Validation Engineer reports into the GPU Hardware PAE team and is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Running various types of validation tests on customer systems which may include pre-release testing of firmware, on demand engineering bug fix validation, system qualification tests, system health checks
Developing tools and automation scripts to run various functional stress tests to qualify hardware including power delivery and power management tests, thermal tolerance, reset, PCIe margining etc.
Running workloads and benchmarks on various system configurations to validate performance for various different market segments
Providing support to customers running the certification and qualification test tools and driving resolution to issues seen by the customer through use of debug skills and collaboration with other experts
Enabling and providing training on usage of systems in the lab to various other teams that develop, validate, and deploy products
Other tasks may include writing white papers, documentation of processes and tools, running product experiments and pilots and system database management

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates .
Minimum Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 4+ year experience in one, or more, of the following areas:
Intel architecture systems, processors, chipsets or accelerators
Platform level validation, tools and methodologies
Debugging experience involving root causing issues at hardware, firmware, OS level, kernel debug
Scripting skills for example: Bash, Python, PowerShell etc.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 3+ years in the above areas mentioned
Experience writing system validation test plans and/or diagnostic test scripts used for validation
Experience working directly with customers and customer requirements

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
