The position is based in our Congleton office, our award-winning factory in Congleton where we design, develop, and manufacture variable speed drive products for the UK and export markets. Feel free to click on this link to see what it’s like to work here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUcKjACGpXg As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be part of a small but effective team working to ensure we digitise our business in a sustainable way, properly managing cybersecurity risk so that we can thrive now and in years to come. What is your role and what part will you play? Work with departments and teams throughout the business and our supply chain to develop Cybersecurity awareness & practices, creating cybersecurity by default. Create transparency of cybersecurity risk, support compliance and monitoring of cybersecurity policies which fit to organisational needs. Work with the broader Siemens businesses to develop relationships and establish Siemens Congleton as best in class for cybersecurity. You will contribute ensure cyber-resilience by preparing for incidents and provide leadership & management when they occur. Identify and create opportunities for improvements to cybersecurity in our business by engaging with our team customers and other cybersecurity partners. Liaise and work closely with internal customers and third parties to ensure fit for purpose security solutions are successfully implemented. Propose and support the implementation of security policies and standards. Design, document, plan, implement, validate, and security as part of technical infrastructure solutions, products, and services which fulfil our business purpose, mission and vision. To lead and contribute cybersecurity capabilities to projects, teams, and individuals to meet specific project requirements. To be active within relevant networks and up to date with news and topic area activities. Implement and maintain solutions for system vulnerability scanning and asset management. Training and upskilling technical and non-technical employees within relevant Cybersecurity subject matters. Represent the cybersecurity team and deputise for the Cybersecurity Manager at Internal and External meetings as required as we’re looking for someone capable who aspires to lead the cybersecurity team. Qualifications & Certifications: A solid technical foundation is important, ideally supported by relevant qualifications or certifications (eg a BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng degree in a relevant subject). Key Characteristics and Experience: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer management and relationship building skills. Proven project delivery capability. Excellent organisation, task prioritisation and time management skills. Complete all tasks to the very best of your ability using initiative to overcome hurdles and an eye for detail. Demonstrates the ability to translate technical jargon into simple language for stakeholders and customers. Complete all required documentation correctly and accurately. Enthusiastic, passionate, patient and should be a critical thinker and logical problem solver. Should possess good logical skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure during emergency situations based on risk management principles. OT/IT Security, systems, and infrastructure experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to own the development of the security architecture to support the delivery of IT/OT projects. Passion for learning and exploring topic areas. A solid understanding and experience with networks, network devices e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, and configuration. Proven ability to ensure all security components have the appropriate management and operational tools, procedures and documentation required for their successful operation. Experience within Customer Service and Stakeholder Management. Experience with Siemens internal information security frameworks and tooling (eg SFeRA, SiESTA, ITAM, Vurious) or more likely external standards and certifications (eg ISO 27001, IEC 62443, Cyber Essentials Plus).
