Job Description

General reporting focused Senior Data and Reporting Analyst - The Data and Reporting Center of Excellence (DARC) organization is responsible for providing data, reporting, and analytics strategy across Finance through the ownership and development of our Finance Single Source of Truth (SSOT). We are undertaking a major initiative to modernize our tools, processes, and methods to take advantage of modern analytic techniques. Further we drive a deep strategic relationship with our IT organization as an EBP swim lane to support finance data and reporting. A historically data-driven and data-rich organization, we aspire for Intel to build a world-class finance practice with both top and bottom-line impacts. As a Senior Data and Reporting Analyst for DARC, your responsibilities may include:

  • Use modern reporting tools to streamline and automate the manual, repetitive reporting processes, bringing new insights to leaders in an interactive and timely manner.

  • Use data modeling, prototyping, statistics, data mining, scenario analysis to collect, explore, and extract insights and present them using Power BI. Develop scaled data models for the Enterprise to proliferate Finance data and increase automation and drive decision useful information.

  • Act as a Data Translator to Communicate and understand the value of analytic work, articulate and advocate for work based on estimated/calculated business impact with Senior and Executive Leadership.

  • Influence IT, Enterprise Business Planning and other partner orgs on needs for data infrastructure, tools, etc.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Skills to work in a data environment with a high-level of ambiguity.

  • Skills to demonstrate best-in-the-world proficiency in Power BI visualization techniques.

  • Skills to experiment, learn, persist through setbacks and solve difficult problems with a methodical approach.

  • Skills to expand beyond descriptive analytics to drive more data derived insights through use of tools/platforms such as Power BI, Visual Studio, SSAS, Proficiency in scripting languages (i.e. SQL)Work to increase data proficiency and technical skillsets in Finance through development; deployment of trainings.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be an active student of, or must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field

  • 3+ years of Finance technical experience in: Power BI report creation expertise / Experience using finance systems for forecast and close.

  • 3+ years of Finance business process experience with: Driving measurable impact to organizations through use of data / Demonstrated skills to influence and communicate (written and in person) at all levels of the organization.

  • Advanced English level.

  • Must have permanent-unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management

  • Experience with Finance SSOT (Finance Analytics Environment [FAE])

  • Experience partnering with IT (SAs, Scrum Masters, Developers)

  • Familiarity with Intel's systems and data environments

  • Programming languages (i.e. SQL, Python, HANA, R)

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
