Job Description
TITLE: DCS/MES Pharmaceutical Project Manager COMPANY: Siemens Industry, Inc. DUTIES: Responsible for the design, development and management of pharma-based customer projects, according to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements, and with end-to-end responsibility for economic results, quality, schedule and EHS. Manage DCS/MES projects utilizing SIMATIC PCS 7, SIMATIC PCS neo, and Opcenter Execution Pharma (formerly known as "SIMATIC IT eBR") primarily in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences industries. Translate customer requirements and sales strategies with cost effective engineered solutions following the PM@Siemens processes and industry standards (S95, S88). Manage clarification of customer requirements and specifications, during the request for proposal (RFP) and proposal. Design and develop technical specification, and timeline, milestones and budget needed in the project. Coordinate resources and monitors and reports progress and milestones regularly to all stakeholders. Negotiate or contribute to negotiations with suppliers and vendors. Responsible for meeting all project milestones and technical objectives. Monitor the budget adherence and takes actions to minimize non-conformance costs. Check projects results, designs respective test procedures, and monitors test results. Ensure proper documentation of project results, and of all products or technologies delivered. Adhere to PM standards defined, and coordinate all project assigned resources. Close collaboration with commercial project manager and finance team. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Bioengineering, Business Administration, or related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Must have 2 years of experience with the following skills: experience leading complex pharma-based automation projects with the ability to improvise, balance risks and handle unpredictable situations; Pharmaceutical Knowledge – e.g., industry standards (S95, S88), MES/DCS with batch integration, Validation, Single-Use Technology, Plug & Produce Concepts; experience with GAMP 5, V model and/or validation/ qualification processes; experience in the process automation market; thorough understanding of the automation and manufacturing execution systems marketplace including market drivers, trends, customer needs and sales processes; experience working with engineering firms, construction managements companies and installation contractors. Must have Industry/Company recognized Project Management Certification. Approximately 15% travel required. OTHER: Harleysville, PA. 40 hours/week; $123,600/year.
