In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing research and develop to solve complex problems that directly impact final product quality, cost and delivery of Oculus products. You will define and implement manufacturing process using advance robotic system and computer vision for highly precision assembly placement. You will be a key member of the Technical Operations team and will partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Quality, Test Engineering and our Manufacturing partners providing early and on-going manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are manufacture-able from concept, to mass production and through end of life.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Product Design Engineers to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges by following best DFx practices and principles.
- Develop manufacturing processes at the factory and to drive line, fixture qualifications, line layout optimisation and throughput requirement
- Work closely with contact manufacturer to develop new or improved assembly fixture and automation system to enhance product quality and production efficiency
- Able to create automation system specifications for assembly and give guidance and technical assistance for supplier
- Experience in different sensors for robotic system application
- Experience in robotics system with computer vision integration for highly precision assembly process
- Understand calibration and qualification procedures for complex automation system
- Support cost reduction and sustaining activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in engineering roles with experience in product design or manufacturing
- Knowledge of GD&T and experience creating tolerance analysis from assemblies and part level drawings
- Proven track record of cost reduction, project management and engineering design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluency in Mandarin and English
- NX or Pro E CAD experience
- NPI (New Product Introduction) and manufacturing operations experience
- Experience in the Automation System Development, high accuracy system will be plus.
- Robotic and Motion system knowledge is necessary, PLC or LabVIEW control experience.
- Automation Qualification Process, JMP/MiniTab tool will be a plus.
- Experience in the consumer electronic products manufacturing.
- Clean Room Automation & Fixture experience
