Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.


Responsibilities and Tasks


Manage Team Member/Group Performance

  • Develop a high performing team
  • Establish department objectives aligned to company strategic objectives and align goals
  • Establish job responsibilities and performance and development goals for direct reports
  • Provide performance feedback on an on-going basis and conduct performance appraisal for direct reports
  • Collect, review, and provide verbal and written performance feedback to continuously develop your team
  • Monitor and oversee department performance achievement
  • Coach, mentor and develop current and future Micron leaders
  • Provide consultation to ensure conflict resolution
  • Establish strategies to provide and support recognition


Build an Effective Team

  • Establish department objectives, assist with aligning roles and responsibilities and provide line of sight to company strategic objectives
  • Prioritize objectives, remove barriers, and drive for accountability
  • Optimize department performance and structure
  • Assess talent and develop talent management strategies to execute to organizational objectives
  • Support learning opportunities within department and plan development opportunities for direct reports
  • Empower leaders and promote teamwork
  • Promote and oversee partnerships across functional areas and customer groups


Manage Functional Area Service Delivery

  • Establish organizational roadmaps and strategies and apply extensive knowledge to carry out strategies
  • Provide consultation on work execution and problem solving
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of escalated issues and provide coaching for resolution
  • Coordinate and communicate departmental policy and procedures
  • Monitor for adherence to departmental policy and procedures and provide feedback
  • Ensure team members are properly trained according to department compliance and work requirements
  • Be accountable for internal budgets
  • Oversee and assist with identification of system and process improvements
  • Develop, communicate, and monitor department performance metrics
  • Be accountable for and promote continuous cost reduction and quality improvement efforts


Provide Organizational Leadership to Build Functional Strategies, Processes, and Policy

  • Create and execute strategies according to requirements (e.g. stakeholder, regulatory, corporate, departmental)
  • Develop and monitor department performance to plan
  • Mentor current and future leaders
  • Collaborate with peers to construct global solutions
  • Ensure conflict resolution and assist with identifying escalation paths
  • Align internal strategies and communicate line of sight to corporate strategic objectives
  • Communicate the corporate business environment and initiatives and provide direction


Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions

  • Identify and understand department service requirements
  • Establish and communicate department capabilities to ensure stakeholder expectations are aligned
  • Develop and measure department metrics and oversee functional metrics to ensure deliverables are met
  • Guide functional services with peer group and internal global partners
  • Manage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Initiate and sustain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions


Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment

  • Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies
  • Communicate requirements and expectations to leaders and external stakeholders
  • Ensure execution of mandatory training for organization
  • Identify and resolve and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues


Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in engineering management or related field of study (Semiconductor background highly preferred.)


Experience Required: Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in a global organization.

  • Strong leadership and vision

  • Demonstrated ability to influence executives, senior leaders and stakeholders on strategic decisions across multiple functions and geographies
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional organizations to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans, deliverables, and resource requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and execute a wide range of global initiatives with global teams
  • Ability to be guided by business objectives and determine best methods for delivering results
  • Demonstrated ability to execute performance management systems and develop high performing teams
  • Experience managing a department and functional managers as direct reports
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and strong focus on results
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire team work and to effectively lead others
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven facilitation skills including the ability to influence others, build consensus, and resolve conflict
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
