This is a co-op position which requires three alternating rotations (e. g. 1st rotation: spring, 2nd rotation: fall, 3rd rotation: summer).

The DOHA Computer Science Co-op will support the development work for various projects that involve data visualization and analytics through tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik.

The qualified co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• Assist business users in linking data from disparate sources.
• Conduct research on the best way to provide visual solutions for a particular business problem.
• Testing and maintenance of various applications.
• Quality assurance of end-user developed visuals prior to production release.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Participating in end-user requirements gathering sessions.
• Work on development tasks as outlined be lead developer.
• Maintain task list with tools such as jira and confluence.
• Communicate using Outlook, Skype, Teams and other communication tools.

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable visualizations.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik.
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions. 
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
• MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. 
• THE WORK TERM DATES ARE (January 3rd until May 6th).
