Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Drafter Engineer I will work together with Manufacturing Engineering & Services Team to analyze demand for each production cell to create and update the product Drawing and 3D Models. Review engineering models and drawings using GD&T best practices. Maintain a correct documentation flow of creation of drawings and upload to the platform ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Creates 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD Software. Create and review engineering models and drawings using GD&T best practice. Maintain Enovia CAD database. Follow up the design until the manufacturing and validation of NPI. Creation of drawings in solid works. Review BOM according to drawing requirements Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Possess knowledge of CAD Packages (SolidWorks, Catia) New Product Development and/or Product line Support experience. Capable to work under minimal supervision Blueprint Reading. Experience with GD&T. Self-directed / Ownership Strong Ability to stablish and documents robust processes Ability to lead and participate on Lean Kaizen Projects/Events Metal mechanic processes for detail fabrication (Machining, Welding, Mechanical Assembly, Die Cast, Conventional Machining) is a plus. Strong people skills, engagement with direct reports, teamwork, and others Should be able to travel domestically and internationally with short notice on occasions up to 10% of the time ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or University in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or Technical Equivalent is desired. Experience: 1 – 2 years working on 3D Modeling and drafting using CAD software. Experience: 1 – 2 years working on Metal Mechanic Processes, Advanced Level of English.
