Job Description

As a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) Engineering Intern you will join a research team in Intel Labs to contribute to the development of new technologies and innovative solutions for Intel Clients Platforms and Wi-Fi. The target is to optimize and enhance connectivity performance by applying AI and advanced algorithms to create seamless experiences with connectivity and sensing solutions, including but not limited to 5G/6G and Wi-Fi. Research responsibilities will include algorithm development, hands-on measurements and data collection and simulation analysis towards optimizing next generation of wireless platforms. Candidates are expected to leverage machine learning techniques towards developing novel solutions for interference estimation and mitigation.
The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker, creative problem solver with expertise in baseband signal processing, wireless communication design and simulation studies. The candidate will be expected to interact with both researchers within Labs and internal product groups to develop and transfer technologies.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MSEE or Ph.D. active student in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • 6+ months of experience in wireless communications and digital signal processing
  • 6+ months of experience with radio link-level and system-level simulations.
  • 1+ years of experience in programming languages such as: MATLAB, Python C/C++


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using the lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzer, etc.
  • Bayesian learning, and associated tools.
  • Past industry work experience in wireless systems is preferred.
  • Experience with wireless standards such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, IEEE 802.11 and/or 3GPP.
  • Experience using machine learning approaches such as neural networks,
  • Intermediate+ English

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
