Job Description
Purpose of the role This role is responsible for ITS Asset management, fault analysis, and the intelligent handling of incidents in line with the Sydney Road Asset Performance Contract requirements. You will be expected to develop an expert understanding of customer’s requirements and working procedures to support our service delivery teams. The role will require joining an out of hours roster which can include evening, night and weekend works to support our 24/7 operational business. Areas of responsibility and tasks Interrogation of various electronic fault management systems ensuring that all faults and incidents are reported, and resources are efficiently dispatched to support meeting contract requirements. Incoming call and E-Mail handling from internal and external customers, including members of the traffic management centre. Understand customer requirements and contract obligations in order to prioritise appropriate responses to faults and incidents by Field Service Technicians. The management and status monitoring of open / un-resolved faults and incidents. Managing attendance feedback from our Field Service Technicians and ensuring this is recorded accurately in line with contract processes, take responsibility for customers and ensure all faults and contract documentation are kept up to date. Run daily reporting systems to support the evaluation of any risks to the contract performance. Escalate known risks to management at the earliest opportunity, for example unusually high volumes of incidents, offering solutions where appropriate Management of the scheduling of periodic inspection works in line with our contract objectives Scheduling of access permits and Road Occupancy Licences (ROL) in coordination with Traffic Management Centre and other relevant stakeholders. Carry out asset management and updating responsibilities for example, liaison with local service team in creation of newly installed assets to be added to maintenance schedules. Supporting team leads and management to identifying possible issues or gaps in relation to resources. Participating in monthly meetings with other team members. Knowledge & Skills The key competencies and capabilities for this role are: Excellent communication skills Good attention to detail along with the ability to remain composed when working under pressure is essential PC skills are essential and ideally experience of using Outlook, Word and Excel is essential Ability to work independently and take ownership of a tasks and incidents until completion Ability to build relationships with colleagues & customers Good communication skills, both written and verbal Organizational skills Proven ability to work well under pressure A self-motivator who can demonstrate good initiative Problem solving skills Required experience Previous experience working within the ITS industry is an advantage. Experience of working in a team environment is essential. Previous analytical or operations co-ordination experience are desirable. Experience working with the below asset management and fault management systems is preferred, but not essential.
