About the role 
    
The Data Analyst is a critical role within RWS Group Technology as the organization moves towards being more data and analytics driven. This change in organisational construct is driving the need to review, rationalize & refine the currently diverse operating models within the organisation. You will be responsible for defining and governing the group data model, global data catalogue and data management strategy.

You will be seen as a trusted advisor on behalf of data across the organisation with development operations, business applications and IT.

About the Role: 

* Work with a vast array of data sources including translation, operational & financial to develop data processes and models which support our insight goals.
* Develop and maintain our group data model in line with our long-term business objectives
* Providing technical leadership and direction for the companies engineering team
* Advise on duplications & conflicts within the data models of the RWS Group (originating from the different entities) and identify practical solutions for aligning the data models. 
* Support the alignment of data governance across the RWS group and enforce through solution reviews and audits
* Provide guidance as to how data quality and meta data management should be embedded in business processes & systems
* Building effective relationships with senior technical staff so there is a common understanding of goals and challenges

Experience Required

* Degree in Computer science or quantitative field years of data development/management experience, ideally from an IT consultancy / system integrator or global company
* Experience with assessing and implementing enterprise-wide meta data management tools, data models and data catalogues
* Expertise in SQL & SSIS is essential.
* Strong English communication skills.
* An expert understanding of data integration
* Knowledge of information principles and policies. 
* Strategic mind-set with the ability to focus on the “bigger picture” 
* Experience in integrating complex and cross-corporate processes 
* Analytical skills — Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable

* Experience with data visualization in a tool such as Tableau, Business Objects, Power BI, Sisense is a bonus
* Experience working with Cloud Based solutions is a bonus
