Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with business teams and senior management to ideate and introduce new data science innovations into business areas;
• Prepare visualizations and present key analytical insights to business team and senior management to facilitate buy-in with actionable recommendation;
• Plan and facilitate the implementation of enterprise wide big data / analytics projects and related integration with enterprise solutions;
• Analyze structured and unstructured data, visualize findings to uncover patterns and discover insights for operation improvement, services optimization, predictive maintenance and business model enhancements;
• Facilitate data architecture design including data definition, data modeling and data re-architect
• Conduct training and sharing session to facilitate awareness of best practices, know-how in data discovery;
• Engage external strategic partners for evaluation, collaborative development of innovative solutions from proof-of-concept to realization;
• Collaborate with application & technology infrastructure teams for addressing seamless integration and protection of business data;
• Drive the rollout of analytic solutions as Group standard to all NWCL business units.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or higher degree in Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, Decision Science, Mathematics or Computer Science or related discipline, degree holder with strong association with data science, machine learning and analytics will also be considered;
• At least 2 years relating to data analysis, data mining, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, machine learning or data science related work;
• Experience working with complex data from multiple sources, database marketing and database management;
• Proficiency in Python, R, SAS or other statistical / data science language;
• Experience with statistical modeling tools and data visualization tools;
• Strong understanding of the key trends in technology innovations, particularly real estates and customer services;
• Strong communication, negotiation, influencing skills, with the ability to interact with senior management and external partners;
• Hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL, BI, Hadoop, Cloud based tools an advantage;
• Well organized, independent, self-motivated and good team player;
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; and occasional PRC travel is required;
• Candidate with higher qualification will be considered as Data Scientist.
