The Role:
Reporting to the IS Data & Reporting Senior Manager in this newly created role you will:
- Provide partnership, consultancy and business data & reporting support to various company functions, teams and departments
- Execute delivery of data & analytics to key stakeholders - design, develop and implement data driven solutions such as performance reporting, dashboards, business scorecards, sales reporting and identify and implement continuous improvements
- Support the implementation of improved Data Management and Governance in line with agreed Strategic Data & Analytics Plan
- Appreciate the complexity and usefulness of data - driving to improve overall data accuracy and reliability
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the business and functional teams to execute and implement effective data strategies to maximize the effectiveness of Amgen
- Design, deliver and maintain multi-year data and analytics capability in collaboration with stakeholders
- Work alongside vendors in the delivery of data and analytics services and solutions aligned with affiliate data needs and global/regional capabilities roadmaps
- Implement optimised, integrated data processes to support internal customers and drive improvements in data accuracy and reliability
- Ensure timely production of data and reporting for internal stakeholders
- Monitor and report on data integrity and systems integration
- Participate in local Commercial projects and may participate in regional (JAPAC) projects
- Provide decision support to various stakeholders (BU’s, project teams, functions)
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Experience working in similar role in an international, matrix organization environment
- Competence in BI/Analytics/visualisation and ETL tools essential (We use Tableau, Alteryx and Amazon Redshift)
- Advanced level SQL
- Excellent user of Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills - fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Able to work effectively with all levels of staff and management with demonstrated ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences
- Interest and ideally some experience in predictive modelling, machine learning and data science
- Working knowledge of LEAN/AGILE software development methodologies favourable
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare or consulting industry
- Work rights and residency in Australia mandatory
